The City of North Las Vegas Sports Division provides sports programming and opportunities for children and adults. 

Our programs emphasize growth and development and promote wellness in an enjoyable recreational atmosphere. Programs are organized, run and administered by professional City staff with expertise in sports activities and education. There are scored games and a healthy dose of competition, but most important, we want our athletes to learn, progress and have fun.

Youth Sports

Soccer League
The youth soccer league provides a fun environment for children ages 3–13 to learn and develop their soccer skills while engaging in low-key competition focused on good sportsmanship.
Basketball League
The youth basketball league provides a fun environment for children to learn and develop their basketball skills while engaging in low-key competition that focuses on good sportsmanship. 
Sports Classes
Sports Classes Provide an introduction to a variety of sports. Participants learn the skills and fundamentals through active drills and fun games.

 

Youth Summer Basketball Recreational League 

Tomorrow’s stars take the court in this recreational program designed to teach the skills of the game while promoting health, fitness, teamwork and fun! Participants are randomly assigned to volunteer-coached teams that practice one evening a week determined by the coach and available gym space. Games are played on Saturdays during the Summer and Winter seasons. Team jersey top provided.

  • Fee: $70 per player 
  • Ages/Divisions: 8-9, 10-12, 13-15 (Aging Date is player’s age as of June 8, 2026)

Youth Post-Season Basketball Workouts 

Add more basketball to your summer. Participants will learn the skills and fundamentals of basketball including dribbling, shooting, passing, defense and teamwork through active drills and games.

This program is designed to teach soccer skills while promoting health, fitness, teamwork and fun. Participants are randomly assigned to volunteer-coached teams that practice one evening a week on a night chosen by the coach and based on field availability. Games are played on Fridays and Saturdays during the Fall and Spring seasons. Team jersey top provided.

  • Fee: $70 per player 
  • Ages/Divisions: 3-4, 5-6, 7-8, 9-10, 11-12, 13-14 (Aging Date is player’s age as of September 7, 2026) 
  • Registration: Jul 18 – Aug 18 
  • Practice Begins: Week of Sep 7 
  • Games Begin: Sep 25 – Nov 21 (Games subject to change) 
Volunteer to Coach
Coaching youth sports can be a valuable experience for both you and the kids. Coaches can spend quality time with kids and instill fundamentals and lifelong lessons on impressionable youth. All volunteer head coaches will receive half-off their child’s registration fee at the end of the season. One reduced fee per team coached.

Adult Sports & Recreation 

Adult Basketball League 

The ABL offers a regular season and post season tournament. Games will be held on Tuesday and Thursday evenings. Jerseys are not provided. Teams must pay contracted referee fees in cash at the game prior to tip-off. Max roster size is 12 players.

  • Fee:$250 per team (Ref fees not included)  
  • Ages: 18+  
  • Registration: Jul 4 – Aug 16

Adult Dodgeball League 

The ADL offers a regular season and postseason tournament. Matches will be held on Wednesday and Friday evenings. Jerseys are not provided. Teams must pay contracted referee fees in cash at the game prior to the match. Max roster size is 10 players. Coed teams are allowed.

Adult Open Gym 

Silver Mesa Recreation Center Open Gym will open again on August 10.

Adult Sports Zone I.D. is required for all participants. Adult Sports Zone I.D. may be acquired in-person at Silver Mesa Recreation Center.

Scholarships

The City of North Las Vegas Parks & Recreation Scholarship Program offers support to North Las Vegas residents for parks and recreation programs and provides residents the opportunity to participate in more programs through a subsidy percentage. The Scholarship Program is only available to North Las Vegas residents for parks and recreation programs including:

  • Aquatics Memberships 
  • Classes 
  • Fitness Memberships 
  • Youth Sports Programs 

Individuals who wish to apply for a Parks and Recreation Program and Activities Scholarship must complete this application and return it to the City of North Las Vegas Parks and Recreation Department. Funding is first-come, first-serve, limited to available funds. Submitting this application does not guarantee a scholarship will be awarded to the participant.
