The City of North Las Vegas Scholarship Program offers support to North Las Vegas residents for parks and recreation programs and provides residents the opportunity to participate in more programs through a subsidy percentage. The Scholarship Program is only available to North Las Vegas residents for parks and recreation programs including:

• Aquatics Memberships
• Classes
• Fitness Memberships
• Youth Sports Programs

Scholarship

Individuals who wish to apply for a Parks and Recreation Program and Activities Scholarship must complete the Parks and Recreation scholarship application and return it to the City of North Las Vegas Parks and Recreation Department or email it to crrp@cityofnorthlasvegas.com. Funding is first-come, first-serve, limited to available funds. Submitting this application does not guarantee a scholarship will be awarded to the participant.

Eligibility

The City of North Las Vegas Parks and Recreation Department will provide a limited number of youth scholarships for children ages 3-17. Applicant must provide proof of North Las Vegas residency. Those who meet the guidelines and provide all necessary documents are eligible.

Criteria 

Scholarships are limited to available funds. Scholarships are awarded on a first-come, first-serve basis until limited funding is exhausted. Families may be awarded up to $200 per household to be used exclusively for any City of North Las Vegas Parks and Recreation activities or classes. If awarded, the funds can only be used from July 1, 2026 through June 30, 2027.

Applications expire on June 30, 2027. Any unused scholarship monies will be forfeited, and will not be available the following year, nor can it be transferred to other family members. The award cannot be transferred to another household or City of North Las Vegas account and cannot be refunded for cash.

Class cancellations must fully adhere to City policy as stated on your ActiveNet registration receipt. If any participant misses 60% of a class in one session, they may be dropped from that session and forfeit the amount of the full scholarship. The scholarship award is not eligible toward Safekey or City of North Las Vegas Childcare programs.
