Need help with homework or schoolwork? North Las Vegas Libraries offer free academic support for students, including drop-in Study Hall, in-person tutoring, and online access to live tutors.

Study Hall

Need a place to work on homework? Stop by Study Hall for free homework support in a welcoming library environment.

Study Hall is designed for elementary students to work on homework and school assignments. Library staff are available to help students get started, answer basic questions, and encourage independent problem-solving. When additional academic help is needed, staff can also help students connect with a live online tutor through Brainfuse HelpNow.

Study Hall Schedule

• City Hall Library: Wednesdays, 4–6 p.m.
• Alexander Library: Thursdays, 4–6 p.m.
• Aliante Library: Thursdays, 4–6 p.m.

Study Hall will not be held when school is not in session.

America Reads UNLV Tutoring

Looking for one-on-one academic help? America Reads UNLV tutors provide free tutoring for students in grades K–5 at the City Hall, Alexander, and Aliante Libraries.

Each student receives a 30-minute tutoring session on a first-come, first-served basis. Students are encouraged to bring homework, assignments, or past schoolwork so tutors can provide focused support.

• Session Length: 30 minutes per student
• Cost: Free
• Registration: No appointment needed
• Locations: City Hall, Alexander, and Aliante Libraries

Brainfuse HelpNow: Online Homework Help

Get homework help anytime with Brainfuse HelpNow, available free with your North Las Vegas Library card.

Students can connect with a live online tutor for help with homework and school subjects, or access additional learning resources and academic support 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
