The Summer Learning Challenge is here!

Each summer, readers of all ages are invited to participate in fun activities that encourage reading, exploration, and lifelong learning.

The Summer Learning Challenge runs May 18 – July 27, 2026 and will include opportunities to earn prizes, complete challenges, and explore the library and community throughout the summer.

What to Expect

Participants will be able to:

📚 Read and log their reading
📍 Explore locations around North Las Vegas
🏅 Complete challenges and earn badges
🃏 NEW!  Collect Library Trading Cards
🎁 Redeem prizes throughout the summer

There will be activities and prizes for children, teens, adults, and families.

The Summer Learning Challenge helps readers stay engaged and learning during the summer months.

Participants can:

• Build and maintain strong reading habits

• Discover new books and library resources

• Explore their community in new ways

• Enjoy fun challenges and activities

The Summer Learning Challenge is open to all ages, including:

Everyone is welcome to join the fun!

When Does It Start?

Start Date: May 18, 2026
End Date: July 27, 2026

Participants will be able to register and track their reading through Beanstack when registration opens.

Summer Learning Challenge Kickoff Events

Join us for Digging It! — a live science show presented by Science Heroes.

• City Hall Library — June 1, 2026 at 4:30 p.m.
• Alexander Library — June 3, 2026 at 11:00 a.m.
• Aliante Library — June 4, 2026 at 2:00 p.m.

Grab & Go Kit Release Dates

Grab & Go Kits will be available while supplies last on:

• May 26
• June 15
• July 6
