The following policies have been adopted by the North Las Vegas Library District Board of Trustees for the safe and enjoyable use of our libraries.

Lending Policy

Item Limits
● Maximum number of items on a library card at one time: 35 items
● Maximum number of DVDs: 15 items

(The North Las Vegas Library District is not responsible for any damage to personal property resulting from the use of library materials.)

Loan Periods

Renewals

Materials may be renewed if there are no outstanding requests and your library card is in good standing (less than $10 in fees and no overdue items). DVDs are limited to one renewal; all other materials may be renewed up to three times.

You can renew items:

• Online by logging into your account

• In person at any North Las Vegas Library District branch

• Through the North Las Vegas Library app

 
Returns
Checked-out materials may be returned to any North Las Vegas Library District branch. Please note that hotspots, Chromebooks, and Playaway Launchpads must be returned to the same branch where they were checked out.

Requests (Holds)
Titles may be placed on hold, provided that no overdue items exist on your card and fines do not exceed $10. There is a limit of 25 items on request at a time.

Notices & Billing
As a courtesy, the library sends overdue and hold pick-up notices via email. To register or update your email address, visit any North Las Vegas Library District branch or log into your account and select My Information.

For patrons without email, only billing notices are sent by postal mail. Bills include the cost of lost items, processing and replacement charges, and any applicable collection agency service fees. Accounts with a balance of $40 or more are referred to a collection agency, and a nonrefundable $10 collection fee will be added at that time.

Fines and Fees
You will be assessed replacement fees for damaged, unreturned, or lost items according to the Fines and Fees Schedule, which is subject to change.
