City of North Las Vegas residents can apply for a free library card online!
After applying, visit any library location to pick up your physical card. With your card, you’ll have access to books, movies, music, digital materials, online learning tools, library computers, Wi-Fi hotspots, and more.
Choose between an All Access Library Card for full access to physical and digital collections or an eCard for digital access only.

How to Apply for a Library Card in Person
To obtain a library card, you must present a valid government-issued photo ID that verifies your name, current physical address, and signature.
Accepted forms of identification include:
- Nevada driver's license or Nevada identification card
- Valid government-issued photo identification (including military ID)
- Passport
If your current physical address is not listed on your photo ID, please also provide one of the following:
- Recent utility bill (electric, water, cable, or telephone)
- Vehicle registration or proof of insurance
- Preprinted checks
Clark County residents who do not reside within the City of North Las Vegas are also eligible to apply for a library card in person at any North Las Vegas Library District branch.
Once your application has been completed and your identity has been verified, you will receive your library card during your visit.
Youth Library Card
Patrons under the age of 18 must have a parent or legal guardian present to obtain a youth library card.
The parent or legal guardian must present a valid government-issued photo ID and sign the application in person.
By signing the application, the parent or legal guardian accepts financial responsibility for materials borrowed by the minor and acknowledges responsibility for guiding the selection of borrowed materials.
Benefits of Your Library Card
Your library card provides immediate access to all online services, including:
- eBooks
- eAudiobooks
- Digital magazines
- Educational resources
- Online databases
- Streaming services
If you receive a full-access library card, you can also:
- Check out books, audiobooks, DVDs, and other physical materials.
- Use library computers.
- Place holds and pick up materials at any North Las Vegas Library District branch.
Borrower Responsibilities
- Notify the library if your address, email address, or other contact information changes.
- Present your library card or a valid government-issued photo ID when checking out library materials.
- If an item borrowed on your account is lost, you are responsible for the replacement cost of the item, any applicable overdue fines, and a processing fee.
- Your library card may be used at any North Las Vegas Library District branch or any Las Vegas-Clark County Library District branch.
Account Renewal
Library card privileges expire periodically. To renew your account, visit any North Las Vegas Library District branch with a valid government-issued photo ID. If your address has changed, please provide proof of your current local address.
Lost or Stolen Library Card
Your first library card is free.
If your library card is lost or stolen, notify the library immediately, as you are responsible for any materials checked out on your account.
Replacement library cards are available for a $1.00 fee.
