Residential and commercial trash and recycling services in the City of North Las Vegas are provided by Republic Services of Southern Nevada or other private companies. The City of North Las Vegas does not provide garbage or recycling services.

Billing for Republic Services is handled by the City of North Las Vegas and is included in City water bills (service charges only).

Republic Services Cheyenne Transfer Station located at 315 W. Cheyenne Avenue, North Las Vegas, is currently open for business. Operating Hours: 7 am to 3 pm, 7 days a week. For questions, contact Bret Lyons, Operations Manager at blyons@republicservices.com.

Republic Services Collection Schedule Changes

Starting Monday, July 22, 2024, collection will begin one hour earlier than the regular schedule. This change will help ensure all carts are collected while prioritizing employee safety during extreme temperatures.

• Cereal boxes, paper towel rolls, etc.
• Magazines and catalogs
• Newspapers
• Junk mail
• Brown paper bags
• Aluminum and steel cans
• Glass bottles and jars

Mattress Disposal

Mattresses must be bagged to be collected as bulk trash pickup. All mattresses set outside for bulk trash pickup must be in a mattress bag. 

Free mattress disposal bags are available at the following City facilities thanks to Republic Services:

• Silver Mesa Recreation Center: 4025 Allen Ln.
• Skyview Multi-Generational Center: 3050 E. Centennial Pkwy.
