The Traffic Engineering section oversees development of the City’s transportation system. We work to achieve an infrastructure system that addresses demand and capacity, employs smart technologies and joins transit, road, bicycle and pedestrian features together into a safe, efficient and environmentally-sensitive transportation network.
This section is also responsible for determining future multi-modal transportation needs and identifying the most practical way to achieve them. Our focus includes:

Traffic Operations
The Traffic Operations section is responsible for maintaining intersection traffic signals, fire station emergency signals, school flashers, street and park lighting systems, ITS Fiber optic systems, traffic signs, and pavement markings.
