North Las Vegas Set to Bury Time Capsule to Celebrate City’s 80th Anniversary

WHAT: North Las Vegas Mayor Pamela Goynes-Brown joins City Council, past elected officials and community members who have been influential in the city’s history to entomb a time capsule at City Hall. The capsule contains items from North Las Vegas’ past and present, including news clippings and souvenirs as well as letters to future leaders, and will be opened on the city’s 100th birthday in 2046. A memorial tree is also being dedicated.
North Las Vegas was incorporated on May 1, 1946, and has become the fastest-growing city in Nevada and largest minority-majority community in the state.
