Demolition Kicks Off New Development in Downtown North Las Vegas

The City of North Las Vegas began demolition of the former city hall property today, marking the beginning of a multiyear, phased project that will transform the 19-acre site into a mixed-use development.

The project, located at 2200 Civic Center Dr., is led by Agora Realty and Management. It will be built in phases, starting with a civic building followed by a multifamily mixed-use housing project with commercial and open spaces.

“This development will be a catalyst for our downtown economy and energize the heart of North Las Vegas, bringing new housing, jobs and amenities,” said North Las Vegas Mayor Pamela Goynes-Brown. “Our city is growing, our population is growing and our ambitions are growing.  We are building a downtown that reflects who we are today and who we will be tomorrow.”

Demolition work is expected to continue in phases as the site is prepared for construction. City facilities on the northeast corner of North Las Vegas Boulevard and Civic Center Drive, including the North Las Vegas Municipal Court and Community Correctional Center, will not be impacted.

The first phase of the construction project, a civic building, is expected to be completed in Spring 2027.
