City of North Las Vegas to Host Fifth Annual Hispanic Heritage Month Kickoff Celebration
WHO: The City of North Las Vegas; Pamela Goynes-Brown, mayor of North Las Vegas; Councilman Isaac Barron; Councilwoman Ruth Garcia-Anderson; and community partners. Interviews will be available upon request with Councilman Isaac Barron.
WHAT: The fifth annual Hispanic Heritage Month Kickoff Celebration, a free, family-friendly festival featuring cultural performances, food vendors, El Grito de Dolores — the battle cry of the Mexican War of Independence from Spain — led by Mexican Consul General Patricia Cortes Guadarrama and live music headlined by Conjunto Brio Norteño.
WHEN: Sunday, Sept. 14, 2025, 1 to 9 p.m.

- 1 to 2:30 p.m.: Parade of Nations
- 2:45 to 3 p.m.: Hispanic Heritage Month Proclamation
- 3 to 4 p.m.: Individual and Group Performances
- 4 to 4:30 p.m.: Community Awards
- 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.: Local bands
- 6:30 to 7 p.m.: El Grito de Dolores ceremony
- 7 to 8 p.m.: Local Band Performance
- 8 to 9 p.m.: Headliner, Conjunto Brio Norteño
