Families Ride the Wave Into the School Year at Free Community Pool Party

WHO: The City of North Las Vegas, Mayor Pro Tem Scott Black, Clark County Commissioner Marilyn Kirkpatrick, Southern Nevada Health District and local families.

WHAT: The Ride the Wave Back to School Pool Party, a free, family-friendly event brought the community together for one last summer splash before the school bell rings. The event featured swimming, live music from KCEP’s Notaboi DJ, bike raffles, games, and free school supplies while they lasted.

WHEN: Saturday, Aug. 2 12-3 p.m.

WHERE: Silver Mesa Recreation Center Pool, 4025 Allen Ln, North Las Vegas, NV 89032

WHY: The event was hosted by Mayor Pro Tem Scott Black and Clark County Commissioner Marilyn Kirkpatrick in collaboration with the Southern Nevada Health District to give local families a sendoff to summer and help students gear up for a successful school year.
