First-of-Its-Kind Coordinated Homeless Outreach Event Brings Together Regional Teams
Clark County and the cities of Las Vegas and North Las Vegas joined forces today for a coordinated effort to serve unsheltered individuals along the Corridor of Hope.
The City of North Las Vegas' Homeless Outreach and Mobile Engagement (H.O.M.E.) Team, City of Las Vegas' Multi-Agency Outreach Resource Engagement (MORE) Team and HELP of Southern Nevada's Homeless Response Teams representing Clark County conducted joint outreach near Las Vegas Boulevard North and Owens Avenue. During the three-hour event, outreach workers engaged with nearly 120 unsheltered people, connecting them with available resources ranging from housing, health, addiction and more.
The collaborative effort marked the first time the county's largest outreach organizations teamed up to maximize their impact on a specific area. The three jurisdictions are working to make this a monthly outreach event.
