
“Build Together, Play Together” With City of North Las Vegas to Celebrate Park and Recreation Month Throughout July
The City of North Las Vegas and the National Recreation and Park Association, or NRPA, invite the community to participate in a variety of special activities lined up for Park and Recreation Month. July marks the 40th anniversary celebration and this year’s theme, “Build Together, Play Together,” highlights the work of park and recreation professionals to provide inclusive and sustainable programs for all age groups. The North Las Vegas Parks and Recreation Department is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for residents.
“Our mission in Parks and Recreation is to create experiences that bring the community closer together while building memories that we hope last a lifetime,” says Director of Parks and Recreation Doug Guild. “We invite everyone to celebrate their own way, whether it’s hiking on the City’s trail system, entering a pickleball tournament at the Neighborhood Recreation Center, visiting one of our amazing pools or taking a field trip with local seniors.”
