The North Las Vegas Police Department Traffic Division is responsible for the proactive enforcement of traffic laws in the City of North Las Vegas with the objective of reducing collisions, maintaining pedestrian safety and upholding the safe and legal use of roadways for all users. Traffic Officers, commonly referred to as “Motors”, also investigate collisions and traffic fatalities. 

The Traffic Division also manages crossing guards employed within the City. Crossing guards help ensure the safety of children at designated street crossing locations near elementary schools at the beginning and end of each school day.

The North Las Vegas Police Department Community Engagement Division oversees a wide variety of community outreach and crime prevention programs across the City for residents and businesses.
