The City of North Las Vegas is your destination for Black History Month. The City invites the community to honor the past, present and future during Black History Month with a variety of celebrations that recognize the contributions of Black Americans and offer educational opportunities for all ages.

Event is free for the whole family and no registration required.

Mayor Pamela Goynes-Brown is hosting the 4th Annual Black Hair Care Drive to help school-aged kids build self-esteem and confidence by receiving proper hair care products.

Your donation goes to local North Las Vegas students in need.

  • 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. Thursday, February 12, at Aliante Library, 2400 W. Deer Springs Way, North Las Vegas 

  • Free and open to the public, ages 6-11 

Join us for a Black History Month celebration honoring basketball legend Kobe Bryant! Participants will get creative as they make custom mini jerseys and a ball and cup game inspired by Kobe’s career, colors, and Mamba Mentality.
