The City of North Las Vegas will launch Hispanic Heritage Month with its Fifth Annual Kickoff Celebration at Liberty Park outside North Las Vegas City Hall on Sunday, Sept. 14, from 2-9 p.m.

The event will feature a commemoration of El Grito de Dolores, the battle cry of the Mexican War of Independence from Spain, led by Mexican Consul General Patricia Cortes Guadarrama. Attendees can also enjoy cultural performances, family-friendly activities, food and live music headlined by Conjunto Brio Norteño.
