Gov. Sisolak recently announced the distribution of $148 million in CARES Act funding to help local governments across the state cover expenses incurred during the COVID-19 pandemic. However, North Las Vegas, along with Henderson, Boulder City and Mesquite, were not included in that distribution.
We are currently working with the Governor's Office on securing our fair share of funding for North Las Vegas residents.
We are thankful for the Governor's commitment to making sure our residents, and everyone who has been impacted by this devastating virus, receives this federal relief as intended by Congress and as outlined by the U.S. Treasury. This funding will allow us to provide much-needed services to you, our constituents, such as small-business grants, rental assistance, utility assistance and other services for our community, which has been disproportionately impacted by COVID-19.
We also want to know -- has your local business, or a business you love in North Las Vegas, been impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic?
Please let us know by taking this short survey. The more information you provide, the better we can advocate for your interests and help our City recover!
