Water Rates

Residential water rates consist of a daily water service charge based on the size of your meter and your monthly water consumption. Consumption fees are calculated in a four-tier billing system. As more water is used, the rate per one thousand gallons increases. The below table shows rates for a ¾” single-family residential meter, the most common service in North Las Vegas.

Sewer Rates

Residential sewer rates consist of a monthly service charge and a usage charge based on your monthly water consumption. Usage fees are calculated in a two-tier billing system. The first tier is a flat rate for all sewer accounts up to 3,000 gallons. The second tier is for all usage above 3,000 gallons and up to 8,000 gallons. The below table shows the rate for a residential property.

Low Income Senior Citizen Discount

The City offers discounted water and sewer rates to low-income senior citizens. To qualify, customers must be the account holder and must be enrolled in the Nevada Energy Assistance Program as defined by the Nevada Division of Welfare and Supportive Services. To enroll for the City’s senior discounts, customers must bring proof of enrollment with the state and proof of age (62 years or older). Once these documents are presented to the Utilities Department, your account will qualify for the senior discount for 12 months. This discount must be renewed each year to continue on the discounted rates.
