Understanding New North Las Vegas Water & Wastewater Rates Beginning January 1, 2008, the following rate changes, approved by theNorth Las Vegas City Council on January 2, 2008, will be reflected on all utility bills. Residential Water Single Family Residential - Monthly Rate and Threshold Changes Last rate increase was in October 2005. Since then, there have been major impacts to our costs of providing service, including increases in power rates and the cost of water delivery (pumping). Daily Service Charge Monthly Charge for Water Used (per 1000 gallons) Rate changes for multi-family and non-residential can be found on the City's web site, www.cityofnorthlasvegas.com, or call 633-1484. The typical single family residence monthly water bill will increase about $0.82. Residential Wastewater (Sewer) Single Family Residential - Monthly Rate Last rate increase was in October 2005.  Since then there have been major impacts to our costs of providing service, including replacement of aging infrastructure. Monthly Service Fee Monthly User Fee (Residential/Multifamily) ERU: Equivalent Residential Unit (e.g., one single family home or one apartment in a multi-family complex) Residents in Sunrise Manor are not subject to these wastewater rates. Residential single family units are capped at 8,000 gallons per month and multifamily units are capped at 6,000 gallons per month. The typical single family residence monthly wastewater bill will increase about $1.61.
