Safekey is a structured before and after school program for K-5th grade children.
Safekey is offered at school sites and provides a variety of activities and social events
such as arts and crafts, fitness activities and physical games that are facilitated by
trained staff.
Children may work on homework during supervised free time during the hours of
safekey but we cannot enforce the completion of homework or ensure that it is
done correctly. Safekey is a recreation based program, we do not offer tutoring or
homework help. This is to ensure that children are not misadvised on homework.

You must sign your child in and out daily. The person who is scheduled to pick up your
child must be listed on the participation form and they must show proper identification.
Every child must have a new Safekey participation form on file for the 2018-2019
school year.

Children are encouraged to wear closed toed athletic shoes daily. Flip flops and
sandals are not advised for indoor or outdoor active play.

Payment is required before or on the day that services are rendered.
A $15 late pick-up fee is assessed for every 10-minute increment the child stays past
the scheduled program time, beginning at 6:01 p.m. The late fee is due at the time of
pick up or before the participant returns to the program.
