The Emergency Repair Program (ERP) provides assistance to low-income homeowners within the City of North Las Vegas. The program is designed to improve substandard living conditions of single-family residential properties. Substandard conditions include those posing a serious threat to the health, safety or welfare of the household or affecting the immediate livability of the home. Assistance shall be granted based on the following:
• Priority and eligibility of the repair
• Applicant must own and occupy the property for a minimum of one year prior to submitting an application to the program
• Housing must be located within the City of North Las Vegas
• Housing must be on a permanent foundation
• Individual(s) must be legal residents of the United States in order to receive Federal housing assistance
The City will provide a grant, not to exceed the program limit of $10,000. A lien (Deed of Trust) will be placed against the property for a period of five (5) years.

If the homeowner transfers the property within the first 5 years of affordability, regardless of the amount of assistance received, the entire grant will be deemed repayable to the City.
