William Robinson has resided in North Las Vegas since 1960. He was elected to the City Council in 1983, and is currently serving his seventh consecutive term. Mayor Pro Tempore Robinson represents Ward
2.
Councilman Robinson is a member of the Work Force Investment Board, a member of the Board of the Southern Nevada District Board of Health and a member of the Criminal Justice Advisory Commission. He is chairman of the North Las Vegas Housing Authority Board of Directors. He is an alternate for the Southern Nevada Regional Planning Coalition. He is also a board member of the North Las Vegas Redevelopment Agency.
Mr. Robinson is Past President of the Nevada League of Cities and Municipalities and was recognized by the League in 1989 as "Public Official of the Year." He is a past member of the Community and Economic Development Committee for Small Cities of the National League of Cities. He also served on the State's Gaming Policy Committee.
Mr. Robinson retired from the Clark County School District, where he worked as an outreach consultant. He attended Mississippi Valley State University.
Mr. Robinson is a life member of the U.S. and International Jaycees, is a J.C.I. Senator, and is a Life Member of the Nevada and North Las Vegas Jaycees. He was listed in 1976 in "Who's Who--Outstanding Young Men of America." He is a member of the North Las Vegas Democratic Club.
William Robinson has two children.
