Mission Statement:
To serve the citizens of North Las Vegas with progressive and responsible code enforcement services and collaborative ventures which contribute to a better quality of life and support the mission and goals of the City Council, City Manager and City Departments.
The Code Enforcement Division strives to achieve voluntary compliance with the City Codes through a process of notification and education. The ultimate goal is to improve and maintain the quality of life where people live and work in the City of North Las Vegas. When voluntary compliance can not be achieved, the Code Enforcement Division has in place procedures to either abate public nuisances or issue criminal citation for noncompliance. Citizen complaints typically include, but are not limited to, boarding and security of vacant structures, removal of junk, litter, garbage, rubbish and overgrown weeds, abatement of junk vehicles, illegal signs, illegal home businesses, obstructions of public streets or sidewalks (right-of-way), and damaged fences or block walls.
