Alfredo Melesio, Jr.

The City of North Las Vegas announced Alfredo Melesio, Jr., AICP, was hired April 3, 2017, as Director of Land Development and Community Services. Alfredo has been a dedicated local government professional over the past 20 years, specializing in community and economic development.
Alfredo employs a “People Strategy” to align city services with resident needs and plans to maximize his skill set in planning, development, code enforcement and community outreach.
Alfredo's experience includes collaboration within multi-stakeholder environments with City, County, private, and non-profit partners to secure an average of over $1.3 million in grants, annually. His experience also includes a review of over $500 million in redevelopment projects, construction of +$7 million in new/rehab projects and stewarding 500 petitions for entitlement approval in a high growth community.
Alfredo has been a member of the American Institute of Certified Planners since 2000, holds a Master of Urban Planning and Policy from the University of Illinois-Chicago and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Illinois Champaign-Urbana. Alfredo was previously employed by the City of Joliet, Illinois, where his career accelerated in local government.
