Nichole has over 15 years of experience in increasingly responsible roles within Human Resources at several companies. Nichole joined the Plaza Hotel & Casino where she was their VP of Human Resources and Risk Management, with responsibility for driving growth in the Plaza’s business through an effective Human Resources and People Strategy. She was responsible for all aspects of Human Resources, labor and employee relations, strategy and planning, staffing, employee engagement, philanthropy, talent management and succession processes, as well as compensation and benefits, leadership development and training, corporate medical operations, and employee assistance programs.
In addition, she also oversaw Risk Management/General Liability, Worker’s Comp, Safety, and other business support services.
Prior to the Plaza Hotel & Casino she worked at Vdara Hotel & Spa where she oversaw the daily operations of Human Resources. She was also a member of the CityCenter opening team and was in charge of Recruitment for CityCenter, Bellagio, Monte Carlo and Shadow Creek at MGM Resorts International, where she played a key role in leading recruitment programs to ensure an ongoing applicant pool rich in quantity, quality and diversity.
Nichole brings to her new role a mix of applied human resources, practical operations and hospitality experience.
Nichole received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Human Services Management from University of Phoenix, and Master’s Degree in Public Administration with a specialization in Law and Public Policy from Walden University. She has also earned her Basic and Advanced Human Resources Certifications from University of Nevada Las Vegas, SHRM-SCP (SHRM Senior Certified Professional), and is a certified State of Nevada Safety and Health Practitioner. She belongs to many professional organizations such as RIMS (Risk and Insurance Management Society), SHRM (Society of Human Resources Management – Global, Regional and Local), ISHM (Institute for Safety and Health Management), and was an active member of the Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce.
