Scott is currently an Operations Battalion Chief for the North Las Vegas Fire Department.  He has been with the department since 2001 and has promoted through the ranks, previously serving as Training Chief, Acting EMS Chief, EMS Captain, Operations Captain, Engineer and Firefighter.  

Battalion Chief Morris is an adjunct instructor and proctor for the Nevada State Fire Marshall's Office, a certified instructor for FEMA Incident Command System, and also served as a voting member of the Southern Nevada Health District Medical Advisor Board.  He is also an active member of the International Association of Fire Chiefs, the International Association of Firefighters, and the Southern Nevada Type 3 Incident Management Team.  

Scott earned a Bachelor's of Science in Business Administration from the University of Nevada Las Vegas.  He is an NFPA Fire Officer II, Fire Instructor II, a Safety Officer with the Nevada State Fire Marshall's Office, and has also completed the 160 hour Leadership Development Program with International Public Safety Leadership and Ethics Institute (IPSLEI).  He has also attended many National Fire Academy courses both on and off campus.

Scott previously worked in the construction field and managed a general contracting company here in Southern Nevada and volunteers his time building wheelchair ramps for disabled veterans.
