Jeff Lomprey has led the Fire Investigations Division for the North Las Vegas Fire Department since 2007.  Prior to serving with the North Las Vegas Fire Department Jeff served as a Police Officer with the North Las Vegas Police Department and as a Senior Detective with the Boulder City Police Department.

Investigator Lomprey has achieved numerous credentials throughout his career and currently holds certifications as a International Association of Arson Investigators as a Certified Fire Investigator (CFI), Nevada Fire Investigator III and a Nevada Category 1 Peace Officer.  Lomprey is also an active member of numerous local, state and national professional associations including: the International Association of Arson Investigators, Fraternal Order of Police, International Association of Fire Chiefs, the International Association of Firefighters and the Professional Firefighters of Nevada.

Throughout his career Investigator Lomprey has authored numerous articles and professional contributions.  In 2005 and 2006 Investigator Lomprey attracted national attention when he was featured on CBS’s Current Affair and NBC’sDateline for his work on the Jared Whaley Homicide Investigation.

In 2008, Lomprey was recognized by the North Las Vegas Fire Department for his leadership and dedication when he received the “Excellence Award” from North Las Vegas Fire Chief Al Gillespie.  Amongst his many other awards and accommodations, in 2004, Investigator Lomprey was selected by the Southern Nevada Rotary Club as the Police Detective of the Year.  Jeff currently serves as an adjunct instructor teaching Fire & Arson Invesitgation course for the College of Southern Nevada (CSN) Fire Science program.
