Serafin Calvo was appointed Parking Services Manager for the City of North Las Vegas in July 2018. He comes to the City of North Las Vegas after 25 years of experience with the City of Las Vegas. Serafin was brought on board to develop and implement the City of North Las Vegas’ parking services program, which launched in January 2019 under the Economic and Business Development Department.
The Parking Services Division’s mission is to support the City of North Las Vegas’ beautification efforts by improving quality of life for residents, assisting with public safety and enhancing customer service. Parking Services officers work daily to rid the streets of unsafe and abandoned vehicles, and improve the aesthetics of neighborhoods. The Parking Services Division will be dedicated specifically to parking issues within the City of North Las Vegas.
Serafin’s philosophy centers on service and hard work. He has been a resident of the Las Vegas Valley since 1975 and has served the community for more than 28 years through various programs and organizations in which he has shared his experience, resources, and time. He is passionate about serving others and being a positive example to his children, family and community. Serafin and his wife Oyaima have eight children, five young men and three young ladies, and they enjoy camping, serving the community as a family, and cooking meals together.
Serafin’s experience in leadership roles, both in municipal government and in serving the community, make him a vital team member who is contributing to the betterment of the City of North Vegas and the residents he serves.
