2017 MUNICIPAL ELECTIONS:
Primary Election: Tuesday, April 4, 2017 - Martes, ika-4ng Abril - el martes, 4 de abril
General Election: Tuesday, June 13, 2017 - Martes, ika-13ng Hunyo - el martes, 13 de junio
With 2017 Municipal Elections voters are no longer required to go to a specified precinct polling location that is based upon their ward of residency. Instead, voters in Ward 3 may choose to vote at one of 4 vote center locations within Ward 3. This gives voters the same flexibility on election day as during early voting. EMERGENCY VOTING / ABSENT BALLOT VOTING ON ELECTION DAY
On Election Day registered voters who are ill, disabled, or called away from home after the deadline has elapsed for requesting an absente ballot may request an emergency ballot up until 5 p.m. and must return the ballot by 7 p.m. City of North Las Vegas registered voters who need an emergency ballot on Election Day should go the Clark County Elections Department to receive an emergency ballot.
- Register in Person or by Mail. Voter registration forms may be picked up at the City Clerk’s Office or at the Clark County Election Department.
- Register or Update Registration On-Line - If you have a current, valid Nevada Driver’s License or state I.D. Card, you can now register online. If you do not have one of the I.D.’s listed, you may still use online resources to help you register to vote. This option is also available for voters who are already registered and need to change their party or address; it is not available for name changes.

- Military personnel and their dependents temporarily living outside of Clark County, and Clark County residents temporarily living overseas should submit a "Registration and Absentee Ballot Request - Federal Post Card Application" (FPCA) instead of the standard Voter Registration Application. It is a combined Voter Registration Application and mail ballot request that eliminates the need to submit these items separately. The registration/mail ballot request is valid through the next two regularly scheduled general elections, for federal offices (e.g., 2014 and 2015). The FPCA is available from Voting Officers at military bases, U.S. embassies or consulates and the Election Department

CLOSE OF VOTER REGISTRATION AND GENERAL ELECTION INFORMATION:
The deadlines for registering to vote without having to appear in person at the City Clerk's Office is March 4, 2017 for the Primary and May 13, 2017 for the General Election. "Close of registration" is the period after these deadlines and preceding the election when citizens have a last chance to register to vote. Registration at this time must be done in-person at the City Clerk's office during posted hours as provided below.

Last day for the City Clerk’s Office or Clark County Election Department to receive absentee ballot requests:
- Primary Election Absentee Ballot Request Deadline: March 28, 2017
- General Election Absentee Ballot Request Deadline: June 6, 2017

FIRST TIME VOTERS:
Voters who did not provide I.D. when they registered must provide I.D. when they vote at early voting or on Election Day. If you did not provide identification when you registered and have not yet voted in a Clark County election:
You must provide a copy of your I.D. when you request a mail ballot for the first time.
If you do not include a copy of your I.D. with your mail ballot request, you may still submit it along with your voted mail ballot, inside the official return envelope.
If you still do not provide a copy of your I.D. along with your voted mail ballot in State and Federal elections, your ballot will become a provisional ballot. Only your choices for federal offices, e.g. President, U.S. Senate and Congress, will be counted AND only if you submit a copy of your I.D. to the Election Department by 5:00 p.m. on the Friday after election day.
If you never provide I.D., your ballot will not be counted.
