City Council meetings are held the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of every month at 6:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers at North Las Vegas City Hall, 2250 Las Vegas Boulevard North. Redevelopment Agency meetings are held the 1st Wednesday of every month at 5:30 p.m. in the Council Chamber. Council and Redevelopment Agency agendas are posted online in accordance with the Nevada Open Meeting Law at the City's Public Access Portal.
All agenda items are considered for possible action except those listed for discussion only, introduction only, or Public Forum. Agendas, minutes, agenda reports, back-up material, and public notices are posted online at the City's Public Access Portal. To receive Council and Redevelopment Agency agendas by mail or email fill out the request form linked below. Amendments and changes to the Council and Redevelopment Agency agendas received after it is posted will be available for review in the City Clerk's Office and at the Council Meeting or may be posted online time permitting.
If a member of the public would like to speak, the speaker completes a blue card located outside the Chamber doors and hands it to the City Clerk. There are two portions of the meeting devoted to public referred to as public forum, one at the beginning of the meeting and one at the end. The first public forum is limited to discussion of posted agenda items. The second public forum is open for discussion of items not on the agenda. When the Mayor calls upon the public to speak, Mayor and Council request that the speaker limits comments to no more than three (3) minutes and that the speaker avoids repetition. As a courtesy to others, the Mayor and Council ask that cellular phones and pagers be turned off during the meeting.
The window to file an appeal regarding a Planning Commission decision(s) is seven days after the meeting in which the Planning Commission decision was made.
