How long can a vehicle be parked in front of or beside a home legally if the vehicle is being used?

The answer lies in NRS 484.418 Parking for certain purposes prohibited, which states:  No person may park a vehicle upon any highway for the principal purose of:

1.  Displaying the vehicle for sale.

2.  Washing, greasing, or repairing the vehicle, except repairs necessitated by an emergency.

3.  Soliciting business.

4.  Selling merchandise from the vehicle except in a duly established market place, or one so authorized or licensed by the local authority.

5.  Storage, or as junkage, or dead storage, for more than 72 hours.

Additionally North Las Vegas Municipal Code 10.48.080 - Parking prohibited over seventy-two hours states: No person shall park a vehicle on any street for a period of time longer than seventy-two (72) hours.
