CRIME PREVENTION THROUGH ENVIRONMENTAL DESIGN
(C.P.T.E.D.) Security Surveys
C.P.T.E.D. (pronounced SEP-TED), stands for Crime Prevention through Environmental
Design and is based on the following premise: "That the proper design
and effective use of a built environment can lead to a reduction in the
fear and incidence of crime, and thus a better quality of life".
In short, C.P.T.E.D. concepts indicate that the better we manage our physical
resources, the greater our profits and lower our losses.
C.P.T.E.D. Security Surveys are available for homes. When you request a free C.P.T.E.D. Security Survey, a Crime Prevention Specialist trained in these concepts will conduct an on-site walk through of your property in order to identify possibilities for ways to make it more secure, in the following areas of emphasis:
