Transportation Planner: Clete Kus

Transportation Planning is responsible for determining future multi-modal transportation needs and the most practical way to achieve them. This division performs a variety of functions including:

  • Development Impact Analysis
  • Traffic Study Review
  • Transportation Modeling
  • Development Review
  • Speed Studies
  • Vehicle Classification Studies
  • Warrant Analyses
  • Traffic Counts

Transportation Planning is also an active participant in regional transportation planning activities which include the Nuclear Waste Repository Program, Regional Transportation Commission, and Safe Communities Partnership.

Franchising also represents the City in a cooperative arrangement with Clark County, City of Las Vegas, City of Henderson, and Boulder City known as the Regional Franchise Jurisdiction (RFJ). This group was established in an effort to develop uniform standards, ordinances and agreements when working with franchises.
