Transportation Services Roadway Operations

Roadway Operations is responsible for maintaining all City Roadway Rights of Way as well as all Regional Flood Control Facilities in which the City has maintenance responsibility. Maintaining the 1800 + lane miles of City roadways includes the following activities:

Street sweeping
Neighborhood Beautification Program Support
Trash & debris removal
Vegetation abatement
Pothole Patching
Utilities permanent patching services
Asphalt paving & maintenance
Roadway safety improvement projects
Pavement crack sealing
Sidewalk installation, maintenance & repair
ADA ramp installation, maintenance & repair
Curb & gutter installation, maintenance & repair
Un-paved shoulder maintenance
Drainage system installation, maintenance & repair
24/7 Emergency Response for roadway hazards

Maintaining the Regional Flood Control Facilities includes 30+ miles of lined & unlined flood control channels and 8 flood detention basins. These maintenance activities include the following:

Trash & debris removal
Vegetation abatement
Graffiti Abatement
Erosion repairs
Reshaping of un-lined flood channels
Fence maintenance & repair
Bridge maintenance & repair
Culvert maintenance & repair
