GRANTING OF PUBLIC EASEMENTS
The City of North Las Vegas typically obtains utility easements for utility
lines, and their associated equipment, and roadway easements for commercial
driveways. A legal description is prepared by a surveyor, attached to
an easement form, then signed by the owner of record. The document is
then forwarded to the City along with the following items:
Project Name
Executed original* Easement form
Legal description
Site plan with easement area highlighted
Copy of current recorded deed
Documentation supporting the authority of the person who signed the
easement to execute legal documents on behalf of the corporation, limited
liability company, etc.
Adjacent easement information for those areas not contiguous to dedicated
right-of-way.
*Faxed signed copies will not be accepted.
Incomplete information may result in a delay of approval of project plans.
