PROPERTY MANAGEMENT DIVISION ANNEXATION PROCEDURES
The City of North Las Vegas accepts petitions for annexation from those
properties located within unincorporated Clark County. These properties
must be within the water service area of the City and meet the requirements
of Nevada Revised Statue Chapter 268.580. In order to be considered for
annexation the applicant must submit a request for annexation form and
the following documents to the Property Management Division.
Application for Annexation signed by all the property owners of record.*
Copy of current recorded deed showing applicants ownership and current
Clark County Assessor Parcel Number.
Letter stating reasons for annexation request.
Site plan showing any proposed development.
*Faxed signed copies can not be accepted.
Upon receipt of the annexation request the application will be sent to
the Property Committee for review and recommendation. If accepted by the
Committee, City Council agenda items will be submitted for acceptance
of the petition and introduction of the annexation ordinance. City Council
may at the following meeting adopt the ordinance and set the effective
date of the annexation.
Once the City Council adopts the annexation ordinance the Property Management
Division will cause to be recorded in the Clark County Recorders Office
the annexation ordinance and a record of survey map delineating the annexation
area. Copies of the recorded ordinance and map are sent to the affected
outside entities.
