The Engineering and Design Section is responsible for the selection of design consultants, management of consultant performance, development of engineering evaluations and Preliminary Design Reports, coordinating projects with acquisition of right-of-way and special permits, preparation of final design drawings, technical specifications, and cost estimates, design of minor projects in-house, and administering the public bidding process for all construction-oriented Capital Improvement Projects.
