Project Scope:

The original project description included the design and construction of a 900 square foot expansion of Fire Station 54 and interior remodel of existing space to provide quarters for fire personnel to man the assigned vehicles. The project scope has been changed due to the requirement to locate an additional unit, a rescue vehicle, at the station. The additional space required was increased to 3,100 square feet to house the additional vehicle and provide dormitory, living and dining space for 12 - 13 people.

Project Status, as of December 31, 2009: (updated on a quarterly basis)

City Council awarded the construction contract to Hardy Construction on November 4, 2009. The notice to proceed for construction was issued on December 14, 2009. The contractor has started demo work.
