Project Scope:

Improvements to PD's firing range include an 800 sf restroom facility, a 2,000 sf two-story simunitions building, a 1,000 sf ammunitions bunker, a leach field and sewer system; expanding the existing pistol range and adding a 300-yard rifle range, paved parking lot, access road, drainage improvements, 2,300 lf masonry block wall, and 4,250 lf perimeter chain link fence. This project will limit exposure to danger by the public, allow the shooting range to become self-sufficient as a training site and relieve over-crowding at current classroom, become ADA compliant, allow for the hosting of multi-agency training and the continued expansion of the PD. The initial scopewould involve modifying a berm around the site.

Clark County approved the waive request and design has resumed. The 30% progress drawings are anticipated to arrive in early January 2010.
