Project Scope:

This project phase consists of construction to widen North 5th Street to 150 feet. The improvements include landscaped multi-use trails, curb and gutter, streetlights, pedestrian bridge, traffic interconnect conduit and fiber optics, installation of traffic signals at various locations, dry and wet utility relocations and new installation and all other elements associated with urban roadway construction.

Project Status, as of December 31, 2009: (updated on a quarterly basis)

The contractor completed the construction of MSE walls, pedestrian bridge, ramps, and underground utility work. The contractor completed roadway excavation, placement of Type II base aggregate, and MSE wall coping. The contractor completed the placement of asphalt base course and open grade. Contractor continued landscaping, sidewalk, construction and fence erection.
