Validations Office
Welcome to the Validation Office which is under the supervision of the
Agency Coordinator Division/TAC Bureau.
Stolen articles, vehicles, license plates, guns, wanted and missing persons
are entered into a criminal database from the police incident report.
The database is accessible to criminal justice agencies in all 50 States,
U.S. Possessions and U.S. Territories, the District of Columbia, Puerto
Rico, and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police.
The function of the validation clerk is to ensure that all data entered
into the criminal repository is complete, accurate, and still remains
unaccounted for. A monthly validation list is generated to verify the
integrity of the files. From the list, the clerk will send a letter to
the person reporting requesting updated or additional information that
was not given on the initial incident report.
If you received such a letter and wish to respond, you may fill out
the requested information and send the letter back by mail, or fax us
at (702) 649-1457 or fill out the form below and click the SUBMIT button.
All submissions are confidential.
Please call the Validations Office at (702) 669-3336 or (702) 633-2077 regarding
any question that you may have. This office is open between the hours
of 7:00 am and 5:00 pm, Monday through Thursday. We are closed on major
holidays.
