Department Background

The North Las Vegas Police Department, located in Nevada, was originally founded in 1946 with an original jurisdiction of almost four (4) square miles and a population of approximately 3,000 persons.

We now service 82.48 square miles and a population of approximately 235,479 persons.

As of October 2008 we currently employ 458 commissioned personnel and 381 civilian personnel.
