Explorer Program Home

The North Las Vegas Police Explorer Program is a youth organization sponsored by
the North Las Vegas Police Department and is designed to assist young people in
preparing for their future.
Along with instructing them in the understanding of all areas involved in a law enforcement profession, it is also our goal to build on the Explorers themselves. We do this by building
on their self-esteem, maturity, discipline, and responsibility.
The Explorer Program is a year round program and our meetings are each Monday
night from 5:45 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. The location of the meeting changes from week to
week but are generally held at the North Las Vegas Police Department, South Area Command, Training Room, 1301 East Lake Mead Blvd. (corner of Lake Mead Blvd.
and Bruce) in North Las Vegas, Nevada 89030. Visitors can enter through the front
door and advise a staff member they are there for the Explorer program.
New candidates must first attend an orientation meeting, which are held on the first
Monday of every month. Candidates under the age of 18 must be accompanied by their parents or legal guardian. This orientation meeting is held at the the North Las Vegas Police Department, South Area Command, Training Room, 1301 East Lake Mead Blvd.
(corner of Lake Mead Blvd. and Bruce) in North Las Vegas, Nevada 89030. For more information please refer to the Frequently Asked Question link listed below.
