Michael Henley was hired as the City's Parks & Recreation Director
in April 2003. Henley most recently served as Director of Parks &
Recreation for the North Clackamas Parks & Recreation District in
Milwuakie, Oregon. His previous experience includes work as the Director
of Community Services for the City of Tustin, California and as the Director
of Parks & Recreation for the City of Lake Oswego, Oregon.
Henley has a Bachelor of Science degree in Geography and Recreation from
the University of Nevada, Reno. He has also attended some graduate courses
in Business at the University of Redlands, California.
"North Las Vegas is a thriving community," said Henley. "Parks
& Recreation is a vital component in the City and I am honored to
join the City's management team to lead this Department."
