Code Enforcement: Graffiti Abatement

The City of North Las Vegas needs your help in preventing and cleaning graffiti.
Report graffiti in North Las Vegas by calling the City’s graffiti hotline at 633-1871. You may receive a reward if your information leads to a felony conviction.
The City coordinates graffiti clean up programs and has staff designated to remove graffiti. You can help by quickly reporting and by covering graffiti in your own neighborhood; free paint is available to residents on request.

Fire Department: Car Seat Safety Inspection

Did you know, in Clark County, an estimated 98% of safety seats are installed incorrectly? The City of North Las Vegas Fire Department wants to help save lives and prevent injuries by promoting the proper installation of child safety seats.
Nevada law requires children to be in appropriate child restraints until age 6 and 60 pounds. If your child has outgrown the height and weight limits of a harnessed safety seat, a booster seat should be used.
Protect your child by having your safety seat inspected by the City of North Las Vegas Fire Department. Call 633-1102 for an appointment. |

Library District: Storytime with the North Las Vegas Fire Chief

The City of North Las Vegas Library District operates two full service public libraries: the Main Library, located at 2300 Civic Center Drive, and the Aliante library, at 2400 Deer Springs Way. The libraries open daily at 9 am, closed on Sundays.
The Library District presents “Story time with the North Las Vegas Fire Chief.” This fun reading adventure occurs at the Aliante library every Monday at 4pm. Stop by and enjoy an afternoon of great children's books with the Fire Chief!

The City of North Las Vegas and Xtravaganza Upscale Event Planners are pleased to announce the North Las Vegas Harvest Market, held twice a week in two North Las Vegas locations.
The harvest market features certified farm products, fruits and vegetables, prepared food, beverages, and more.
Visit the market Thursdays from 10 am to 2 pm at City Hall, 2200 Civic Center Drive and Fridays from 4 to 9 pm at Nature Discovery Park on Aliante Parkway just south of the Northern Beltway.

Police Department, Animal Control: Spaying & Neutering

The City of North Las Vegas encourages you to protect your pets by spaying or neutering them. A new City ordinance now requires all pets residing in North Las Vegas to be spayed or neutered.
By spaying or neutering dogs and cats, pet owners can reduce the risk of certain diseases, plus pets are less likely to run away from home and roam our neighborhoods. This also helps reduce the homeless pet population.

Youth Council

The City of North Las Vegas is recruiting for its inaugural Youth Council. Teens, ages 14 to 19 are encouraged to apply to be part of this exciting program.
The Youth Council will provide young people an opportunity to learn about local government first hand through activities including hands-on experiences in local government that includes job shadowing, mock city council meetings, and a community service project. The Youth Council will help design the future of our city and will serve as an advisory commission to the City Council on issues affecting our community’s youth.
