Catherine Ramsey is the first woman elected to serve as a municipal judge in North Las Vegas. She was elected on June 7, 2011.

Ramsey grew up in a military family and traveled to many countries as a young child. She attended elementary, middle and high school in Southern Nevada.

Prior to being elected, Ramsey was a deputy district attorney for Clark County, and worked as a prosecutor for the City Attorney’s Office in North Las Vegas.

Ramsey grew up in Southern Nevada. She earned her juris doctorate in 2001 from William S. Boyd School of Law, her bachelor’s degree in business from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas in 1992, her associate’s degree in law from Clark County Community College in 1988, and is a local graduate from Valley High School, class of 1982.

Ramsey is married to David Ramsey and has four children. Ramsey enjoys traveling, camping, skiing and spending time with her family.
