Current open positions are also posted on our 24 hour job line (702) 633-1514. Applications may be obtained from the Human Resources Department between the hours of 8:00 A.M. and 6:00 P.M. Monday thru Thursday or you may download the application form by clicking on the employment application form link.

  1. Applications are accepted for CURRENT OPEN POSTED POSITIONS ONLY.

  2. Original Application for employment must be FULLY COMPLETED AND SIGNED and submitted to the Human Resources Department on or before the closing date for the posted position.

  3. No E-Mail, postmarks or faxed materials will be accepted. A resume will not be accepted in lieu of a City of North Las Vegas application form but may be submitted with the completed application.

  4. For positions requiring skills testing, (typing, shorthand/speedwriting), an original certification meeting posted requirements for skills testing must accompany original application. See Steno-speedwriting certification and Typing certification for instructions.

  5. The City of North Las Vegas hires only those individuals authorized to work in the U.S. and is an EEO/Affirmative Action Employer.

  6. Arrangements to accommodate disabilities must be made by contacting the Human Resources Department in advance at 633-1500 and provide verifiable documentation of need.

  7. It is the responsibility of the applicant to note the closing date for EACH of the postings listed on this website and to call the Human Resources Department  at 702-633-1501 to verify the status on positions listed as Open Until Filled.
