STATION 53

2804 West Gowan Road

North Las Vegas, Nevada 89032


Located at 2804 W. Gowan Road, this station was built in 2008 and opened in June of 2009.  The station currently houses one engine company, Engine 53, a 2004 Pierce Quantum which is equipped with a 1500 gallon per minute pump and a 750 gallon water tank, Rescue 53 (2008) Med-Tec which is a transport-capable rescue vehicle, EMS 15 a 2007 F-350 utility vehicle. Station 53 also houses Air Resource 53, a 2007 Pierce Saber equipped with a mobile air cascade system, fixed and portable scene lighting, and firefighter rehabilitation equipment/supplies and Brush Engine 53 which is a 2007 GMC 250 gallon per minute pump and a 150 gallon water tank with pump and roll capability. . The Engine is staffed by one captain, one engineer, and two firefighters. The Rescue is staffed by two firefighters, one of which is a paramedic. EMS is staffed with one Captain who responds citywide providing medical oversight and quality assurance for the departments EMS operations.  The Air Resource is staffed with and engineer and one firefighter.
