Magic Forest

The Magical Forest is a wonderful experience for “kids” of all ages. From the moment you enter you are enchanted by the sights and sounds of the holiday season. From strolling through decorated trees and displays to photos with Santa and nightly entertainment, there is something for everyone.   Visitors can enjoy a ride on our passenger train "The FOREST EXPRESS" which winds it way through the two acre Forest giving visitors another angle to view the many trees and displays.

The Magical Forest is facilitated 70-90 volunteers a night including numerous members of the North Las Vegas Fire Department. ALL Proceeds raised at the Magical Forest will benefit people with disabilities at Opportunity Village located here in the Las Vegas Valley (6300 West Oakey Blvd.). Since 1954 Opportunity Village has been serving men and women in our community to provide them with programs and services to help enrich their lives.

Pink Heals 2009
Pink Heals Tours

The Pink Heals Tour kicked off its second annual breast cancer awareness journey by making North Las Vegas its first stop on Saturday, Sept. 12, 2009.  A procession of fire apparatus was escorted throughout the Valley by respective police departments, along with the Pink Heals fire trucks.

The tour, which featured two pink fire engines and a pink truck company visits cities across the country holding health fairs focused on increasing breast cancer awareness.  The pink fire trucks are staffed by firefighters in pink turnouts and are adorned with thousands of signatures of breast cancer survivors, their family members and friends.

This years event was an expansion of the tour that visited last year.  It included entertainment by the Scintas, food by local vendors, refreshments, screening appointments for free mammograms, and other health information.  North Las Vegas, Clark County, Las Vegas, Boulder City, Henderson, and Nellis AFB fire departments participated.

NLVFD Pink Heals merchandise is available for those interested - ORDER FORM
